I live in a fire-prone area and need a Class A. Rated Roof; How does a Berridge Metal Roof compare to other products such as aluminum or concrete tiles?

Because we use only 24-gage high-strength steel, all Berridge Metal Roofs are Class-A rated. Softer materials such as aluminum have a lower melting point and also lack the tensile strength and durability you require.

How does the cost of a metal roof compare with asphalt composition and other type roof coverings?

While the initial in-place cost of a metal roof may be substantially higher (from 3.5 to 5 times the cost of composition shingles) than other types of roofs, they will actually save you money over the life of your home, since a Berridge Metal Roof will last forty years or more. With other roofing materials, you would incur removal and replacement costs every ten to fifteen years.
